Job summary

ROMAC LOGISTICS in Middleton (M24) seeks an experienced General Maintenance Engineer to cover multiple sites across the UK. You will perform maintenance, repairs and preventative tasks with a strong focus on electrical and plumbing systems, while delivering work safely and to budget.

The role requires a practical, hands-on approach, reliability, and the ability to travel nationally. A full UK driving licence is essential and the position offers a varied workload within an established transport

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Hands-on, practical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Reliable, organized and able to work independently.
• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to undertake national travel.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Maintenance Engineer to be based in Middleton M24.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repair work across our operations, with a strong working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The role involves delivering a full schedule of works, on time and to budget.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and plumbing issues.
• Respond to maintenance requirements across various sites.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• To ensure all daily planned and routine work is completed in a safe manner, causing minimum downtime and preventing business disruption.
• Undertake national travel as required.
• Maintain a professional approach when representing the business at customer and operational sites.

• Experienced in general maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment.
• Competent with electrical and plumbing work.
• Practical, hands-on and able to troubleshoot effectively.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Flexible and willing to undertake national travel.
• Full, clean, UK driving licence required.
