Job summary

Romac Logistics Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Industrial bay door engineer based in Middleton, with travel across Manchester, West Midlands and Derbyshire.

The role will involve delivering a full schedule of works, servicing bay doors, roller shutters, automatic gates and related equipment, while ensuring safety and high-quality service for clients. You will be part of a hands-on team, liaising with clients, and maintaining high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance/Facilities Management.
• Bay door/roller shutters experience preferred.
• Automatic gates experience beneficial.
• Traffic barriers and associated equipment knowledge.
• 3-phase electrical experience and fault finding advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full schedule of works on time and to budget.
• Handle new and existing contracts.
• Ensure daily planned work is completed and breakdowns are attended to safely.
• Maintain health and safety standards and build process knowledge.
• Travel between contracts; a valid driving licence is required.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial bay door engineer to be based in Middleton M24.

Role will involve travel across Manchester, West Midlands and Derbyshire.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The role involves delivering a full schedule of works, on time and to budget.
• Handling new and existing contracts.
• To ensure all daily planned and routine work is completed and to ensure that all breakdowns are attended to and rectified in a line with departmental objectives in a safe manner, causing minimum downtime and preventing business disruption.
• A good understanding of health and safety and the build process, team player is a must.
• There will be driving between contracts so a clean driving licence is a must.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Experienced in the following products
• Bay door/Roller Shutters experience is preferred
• Automatic Gates
• Traffic Barriers and Associated equipment
• 3 phase electrical experience and fault finding an advantage
• An eye for detail and working to a high standard.
• To be able to work well with others and build a strong team.
• Confident working alone.
• Someone who is confident has good face-to-face skills and is comfortable outlining further work to the client.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills & should be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.

What We Offer:

• £35,000 – £39,000 per annum, depending on experience.
