Job summary

TXM Recruit is partnering with a global intralogistics leader in Croydon to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. You will maintain electrical and mechanical systems on automated storage & retrieval and sortation equipment, with a focus on preventative and reactive maintenance.

The role requires an Electro-Mechanical Level 3 qualification, PLC knowledge, and CMMS experience. Salary is £51,045 with a rotating 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm pattern; pension and healthcare benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience as Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, automated warehousing/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics (advantage).
• Experience using CMMS and managing engineering inventory.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across the site, and contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
• Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
• Mechanical maintenance tasks such as strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts.
• Electrical testing using a multimeter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to identify faults up to 480V.
• Reporting job details, breakdown information and follow-up tasks in a CMMS system.
• Providing maintenance support to the on-site customer's installed systems.
• General care and housekeeping of machinery and work areas.

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems as they search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team in Croydon.

This role will provide the opportunity to work on equipment such as shuttles, conveyor systems and sortation equipment in a fast paced environment. As a business they have a strong reputation for training & development of their staff and operate within strong and growing markets.

Salary: £51,045.00

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (2 weeks morning shift, 1 week afternoon shift rotation).

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
• Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
• Mechanical maintenance tasks such as the strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts for example.
• Electrically, you will be responsible for electrical testing using a multi-meter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to support identification of faults and work up to 480v.
• Reporting Job details, breakdown information and follow up tasks in a CMMS system.
• Providing exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer's installed systems.
• General care and housekeeping of machinery and work areas.

Requirements

• Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, high volume facility - automated warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG and packaging facilities would prove a good transfer. Alongside Military personnel.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
• Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory.
