Job summary

Romac Logistics is seeking an experienced Industrial bay door engineer to be based in Middleton. The role involves travel across Manchester, West Midlands and Derbyshire, delivering a full schedule of works and servicing bay doors, gates and barriers.

The ideal candidate has maintenance/FＭ experience, the ability to work with clients, and a clean driving licence. Company vehicle provided; salary £35,000–£39,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance/Facilities Management.
• Bay door or roller shutter experience preferred.
• Familiar with automatic gates and traffic barriers.
• 3-phase electrical experience is advantageous.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full schedule of works on time and to budget.
• Handle new and existing contracts and industrial jobs.
• Ensure daily planned work is completed and breakdowns resolved safely.
• Work with the client to outline further work and schedule visits.
• Maintain health and safety standards and drive between sites.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial bay door engineer to be based in Middleton M24.

Role will involve travel across Manchester, West Midlands and Derbyshire.

Roles And Responsibilities

• The role involves delivering a full schedule of works, on time and to budget.
• Handling new and existing contracts.
• Commercial/Industrial jobs.
• To ensure all daily planned and routine work is completed and to ensure that all breakdowns are attended to and rectified in a line with departmental objectives in a safe manner, causing minimum downtime and preventing business disruption.
• A good understanding of health and safety and the build process, team player is a must.
• There will be driving between contracts so a clean driving licence is a must.

Skills And Experience

• Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment.
• Experienced in a following products
• Bay door/Roller Shutters experience is preferred
• Automatic Gates
• Traffic Barriers and Associated equipment
• 3 phase electrical experience and fault finding an advantage
• An eye for detail and working to a high standard.
• To be able to work well with others and build a strong team.
• Confident working alone.
• Someone who is confident has good face-to-face skills and is comfortable outlining further work to the client.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills & should be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device.

What We Offer

• £35,000 – £39,000 per annum, depending on experience.
