Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors in the UK is seeking a compassionate Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) to lead a branch and support families through funeral plans and ceremonial duties. You’ll build trusted local relationships while training in Funeral Conducting and guiding clients through arrangements with care.

Responsibilities include coordinating funerals, managing day-to-day operations, and promoting funeral plan options.

Qualifications

• Empathy, confidence and attention to detail in guiding funeral arrangements.
• Ability to arrange funerals meeting family wishes and legal requirements.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with paperwork proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals that meet family wishes, cultural practices and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including administration and presentation.
• Build relationships with suppliers and local community groups.
• Lead chapel visits and assist with ceremonial duties during peak times.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to plan sales within the branch.
• Train in Funeral Conducting to assist with ceremonies when needed.
• Confidently handle sensitive situations with calm professionalism.
