Gordon & Watson Funeral Directors, Stonehaven, is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist (Level One) to lead the branch day to day. You will support families, coordinating services and guiding them through funeral plans with training provided.

The role requires empathy, strong organisation and the ability to manage administrative tasks, with flexible weekend/on-call work as needed. Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and empathetic in emotionally sensitive situations.
• Experience in customer service, care or admin is beneficial (full training provided).
• Strong communication, organisation and admin skills, confident with legal paperwork.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and internal systems.

Responsabilités

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals that meet family wishes, cultural practices and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including administration and presentation.
• Build relationships with suppliers, care homes and local community groups.
• Lead chapel visits as required, supporting families with their requests.
• Raise awareness of funeral plans and contribute to plan sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting to assist with ceremonial duties during peak times.
