Job summary

Central England Co-operative Limited is seeking a Conducting Funeral Assistant to lead the bearer team, arrange funerals, and deliver an exceptional client journey. The role involves coordinating multi-site coverage, community activity, and day-to-day funeral home operations.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and a DBS check will be required for new joiners from 1 December 2023. You will work closely with managers to coach colleagues and uphold high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to bearer team on the day of funeral.
• Support line managers to coach and develop colleagues.
• Conduct funerals to ensure high standards of delivery.
• Lead and participate in community activities.
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance by bearer team on the day of funeral.
• Attend local forums/meetings to build networks with NAFD.
• Daily running of funeral home including arranging and back-of-house duties.
