The Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Funeral Service Crew in the United Kingdom. The role requires delivering dignified care and handling for the deceased, including transportation and preparation for viewings, while joining a weekend on-call rota and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, along with benefits and a strong pension. A full manual UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• You must hold a full UK manual driving licence and be able to perform physical tasks.
• Comfort with handling the deceased and working in a funeral environment.
• Proficient use of basic IT devices and software for records.

Responsabilités

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles on the day of the funeral.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings with dignity and respect.
• Keep client records up to date in management applications.
