Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Colchester seeks a Funeral Arranger to support families with compassionate service and professional arrangements. Training is provided, with a full-time 37.5-hour schedule and a salary of £26,266 plus benefits.

You will use digital systems to manage arrangements, interact with clients, and maintain a respectful funeral home environment, reporting maintenance needs as required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Strong numeracy for cash handling and invoicing.
• Keen eye for detail to ensure compliance with policies.
• Proficient with IT devices and systems.
• Commitment to delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe, and welcoming; report maintenance issues.
• Operate digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work, like selling and informing clients about funeral plans, to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased and manual handling tasks.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
