Central London

A leading VC firm focused on Life Sciences is recruiting for a Fund Accountant to join their friendly team in Central London. If you have a background in Fund Accounting and are qualified then this could be a great role for you to develop your skills further and grow within a successful firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounting for investment vehicles, review of NAVs, investor statements, and financial reports.
• Aid with reporting in overseas jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands, Malta, Luxembourg.
• Calculate and review management fees, distribution calculations, and ensure compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
• Handle compliance reporting, regulatory filings, and oversee internal controls and financial risk management.
• Respond promptly to investor queries regarding holdings, performance, and distributions, ensuring excellent client service.
• Support investor communications, including newsletter drafting, ad-hoc reports, and preparation for quarterly Board calls.
• Collaborate with international Directors and advisors, contributing to strategic discussions and governance oversight.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in private equity or venture capital as a Fund Accountant
• Experience in audit of funds in the UK, Cayman Islands, Malta, and Luxembourg is advantageous
• Working knowledge of fund structures and operations
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to spot opportunities for efficiencies and implement them
• Solution focused with excellent problem-solving skills
