Fund Accountant – Oversight – Permanent – Market rate salary – Central London – Hybrid Working – Start ASAP

Reed Talent Professionals are partnering with a global investment bank based in Central London, in the search for Fund Accountant with Oversight experience.

They are seeking a dedicated professional with exposure to global financial practices and standards, responsible for overseeing fund accounting services for UK regulated funds and pension schemes. This role is crucial in ensuring that the services provided are accurate, timely, and conform to regulatory requirements.

They are based in the financial district in Liverpool Street and offer hybrid working, 3 days per week on site and 2 working from home.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in Fund Accounting, Oversight and Client Management within a dynamic financial environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Outsourced Services Oversight:

• Oversee the calculation and accuracy of the Net Asset Value (NAV).
• Ensure the quality of financial reporting, adhering to UK SORP requirements.
• Oversee the calculation of distributions and associated figures.
• Conduct trend analysis, assess errors, and evaluate the effectiveness of the oversight programme.
• Train and monitor outsourced service providers to ensure compliance with UK standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for UK clients, coordinating resolutions to queries and attending client service reviews.
• Support the sales process, coordinate the onboarding of new clients and fund launches, and manage client due diligence activities.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on systems and services, and drive process improvements.

Regulatory and Process Improvement:

• Monitor regulatory changes, assess impacts on systems and services, and identify risks.
• Coordinate client change requests and drive process improvements.
• Participate in the production of business requirement documents and user acceptance testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience in fund accounting and financial reporting for UK regulated fund structures and pension schemes.
• Extensive knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Strong client-facing and client management experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and prioritise work effectively.
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and detail oriented.
