Senior Consultant - Financial Services at SRM Recruitment

SRM has been retained by a highly successful mid-market private equity firm in their search for a Fund Accountant to join the team. This is a newly created role to support the firm’s growth. You will join an incredibly high-performing team and be offered unparalleled mentorship and collaboration with experienced colleagues, providing a great platform to establish a career in PE.

The role would suit a newly qualified Accountant with exposure to Private Equity through their current role but is open to applicants from an Accounting Practice or Fund Administrator background.

Main responsibilities:

  • Review of quarterly and annual accounts for various funds, including deal-specific and carry entities
  • Preparation of quarterly investor reporting for the funds
  • Liaising with the deal team to facilitate the deal process, including funding, legal, and FX considerations
  • Preparation and review of drawdowns and distribution waterfalls
  • Preparation and review of carry waterfall workings and management fee calculations
  • Preparation of monthly IRRs for the portfolio, funds, and investors
  • Liaising with outsourced fund administrators

Skills and experience

  • A chartered/certified accountant – 0-2 years PQE gained in Practice or an Administrator
  • Able to manage short and medium-term projects to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently and enjoy researching technical matters, knowing when to seek guidance
