Maven Group Ltd is seeking a Functional Assessor in Northampton with hybrid/home working options. The role involves assessing clients via phone, video, or in person, and producing clear reports to inform DWP benefit decisions.

Starting salary is £42,000 per year with a £4,000 uplift to £46,000 after 12 months, plus 25 days annual leave, 8 bank holidays, pension and training support. On-site Northampton base for on-site days.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified professional with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Proactive and keen to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

Responsabilités

• Carry out 5 client assessments per day.
• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments.
• Produce factual reports to support DWP benefit decisions.

What is on offer as a Functional Assessor?

• Excellent starting salary at £42,000pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)
• Northampton based when working on-site
• 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + the ability to buy or sell 5 more days + pension

• NMC or HCPC fees paid for and CPD revalidation support provided

£4,000 performance related salary uplift to £46,000pa after 12 months following training and DWP Functional Assessor approval.

What does the Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
