Maven Group Ltd is recruiting for a Functional Assessor in the Chesterfield area. The role involves conducting 5 client assessments per day through telephone, video, or in-person meetings to evaluate how a disability or health condition affects work capability.

Starting salary is £42,000 per year with a £4,000 uplift after 12 months post-training and DWP approval, and there is hybrid/home working. On-site work is based in Chesterfield with full-time and part-time options available.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC qualified professional with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Proactive and keen to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

Responsabilités

• Carry out 5 client assessments per day via telephone, video or face-to-face to understand impact on working capability.
• Produce factual reports to assist DWP in determining benefit eligibility (DWP makes final decision).
• Receive thorough training and ongoing support to excel as a Functional Assessor.

What is on offer as a Functional Assessor?

• Excellent starting salary at £42,000pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)
• Chesterfield based when working on-site

£4,000 performance related salary uplift to £46,000pa after 12 months following training and DWP Functional Assessor approval.

What does the Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
