Job summary

Maven Group Ltd. is seeking NMC/HCPC qualified professionals for Functional Assessor roles based in Bangor. The role involves conducting up to five assessments per day via telephone, video or in person, and producing reports to assist DWP decisions.

On-site work in Bangor with hybrid options is available. Starting salary is £42,000 per year, with a £4,000 uplift to £46,000 after 12 months following training and DWP approval.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC-qualified professional with at least 1 year post-registration experience.
• Able to communicate clearly, proactively learn, and handle diverse conditions including mental health.
• Strong IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out up to 5 client assessments per day (telephone, video or face-to-face).
• Produce factual reports to help DWP determine eligibility.
• Support CPD and training requirements.

• Excellent starting salary at £42,000pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)

£4,000 performance related salary uplift to £46,000pa after 12 months following training and DWP Functional Assessor approval.

What does the Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone who’s proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
