Job summary

Vets for Pets in Guildford is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join a welcoming team. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am–5pm), helping front-desk duties and supporting the practice.

You will engage with clients, manage bookings and payments, and assist the clinical team. Ideal candidates are those with veterinary reception experience or strong customer service backgrounds, who are calm under pressure and highly organised.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and their pets with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
• Managing telephone enquiries, emails, and appointment bookings.
• Processing payments and pet insurance claims.
• Banking and daily cash reconciliation.
• Managing outstanding debt and payment queries.
• Supporting the clinical team to ensure the practice runs efficiently.
• Handling sensitive or challenging situations with compassion and confidence.
