Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse First Line Manager for our Swindon distribution centre. You will lead Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives to deliver outstanding service, drive performance and maintain a safe, compliant operation across the site.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week on rotating day/afternoon shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00). You will mentor your team, manage day-to-day activities, monitor KPIs and ensure on-time, accurate fulfilment for one of the UK’s

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within a warehouse, logistics or transport environment
• Experience leading teams of 10+ colleagues and managing employee relations processes
• Strong organisational, communication and people management skills
• Good analytical and numerical abilities, with experience using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word
• A proactive approach with a passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement and team development

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring service, productivity and compliance targets are consistently achieved
• Manage and develop Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives, creating a positive, high-performing culture
• Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across your area of responsibility
• Monitor operational performance, analysing KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive effective communication and shift handovers, ensuring a seamless operation across all departments
