Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager in Northampton to lead a fast‑paced, MHE‑heavy operation. You will coach a team of operatives, drive safety, accuracy and efficiency, and partner with planning and systems to maintain smooth shift performance.

This full‑time role requires strong leadership, a track record in high‑volume warehousing, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leadership role within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities to develop a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, MHE operations and quality standards.
• Confident communicator who can manage stakeholders under pressure.
• Digitally minded with experience using warehouse management systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver safe, accurate and efficient shift performance across inbound and outbound operations.
• Ensure all warehouse activity is completed to required standards, supporting high‑volume case picking into cages.
• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs, taking action to manage productivity, quality and service levels.
• Support and enforce Health & Safety, compliance and standard operating procedures across your shift.
• Work with planning, systems and wider operational teams to resolve issues and keep the operation flowing.
