Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a First Line Manager to lead, coach and develop a team within our busy warehouse operation at the Primark site in Thrapston.

This is a full-time, permanent role on the 5 from 7 AM shift 06:00–14:00, with a focus on safety, productivity and engagement. You will drive operational excellence by motivating people, monitoring KPIs and maintaining high standards, while delivering customer expectations and continuous improvement through strong leadership and clear

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or management experience within a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong communication skills to engage, influence and motivate colleagues at all levels.
• Proactive and solutions-focused with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Experience managing performance and delivering operational KPIs.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure performance, quality and service targets are achieved
• Create a safe and compliant working environment by promoting H&S standards and best practice
• Coach, support and develop colleagues, identifying training and development opportunities to maximise team performance
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, attendance and performance, taking appropriate action to drive continuous improvement
• Foster a positive team culture through regular communication, employee engagement and leading by example
