Job summary

Premier Inn in Middlesbrough is seeking a Duty Manager developing into Hotel Manager, with 40 guaranteed hours per week and a permanent contract. You’ll move across reception, housekeeping and the restaurant to keep the hotel running smoothly and deliver outstanding guest service.

You’ll lead by example, travel across cluster sites, support guests, coach teammates and aim for future progression to Hotel Manager while enjoying structured training and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a busy customer-facing environment.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple hotel departments including reception, housekeeping and restaurant.
• Willingness to travel across cluster sites.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings.
• Coach team members and support guests throughout the day.
• Assist guests with queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Support different teams from reception to restaurant to ensure smooth operations.
• Proactively spot issues and address them before they escalate.
• Help keep guests safe and the hotel running as expected.
• Collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager and leadership team.
