Job summary

Whitbread PLC, Hastings Premier Inn, is seeking a Duty Manager to lead shifts, support reception, housekeeping and restaurant teams, and ensure guests have a great stay. You’ll be on the floor, guiding the team and solving problems during busy periods.

This role focuses on leadership from the front, with a pathway toward future Hotel Manager opportunities within Premier Inn. A fixed-term contract offers guaranteed hours and training to succeed in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• No hotel experience required; candidates from retail or service sectors welcome.
• Experience leading people in busy customer-facing environments is valuable.
• Ability to lead shifts and coach team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver pre-shift briefings.
• Coach team members throughout the day.
• Assist guests, resolve problems and keep guests safe.
• Collaborate with reception, housekeeping and restaurant.
• Identify issues early and set them right.
• Work with Hotel Manager and leadership team.
