Job summary

Whitbread PLC is recruiting for a Duty Manager at Herne Bay Premier Inn. Working 37.5 hours per week, you’ll lead shifts across the hotel, support reception, housekeeping and restaurant teams, and ensure guests enjoy a smooth stay.

This is a permanent role with guaranteed hours and a clear progression path to Hotel Manager. You don’t need hotel experience; leadership experience in retail, restaurants or service is welcome.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team coaching experience would be beneficial
• Strong customer service orientation
• Decision making under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings
• Support and coach team members throughout the day
• Help guests with questions and sort out problems
• Jump in to support different teams, from reception to the restaurant
• Spot issues early and put them right
• Help keep guests safe and the hotel running the way it should
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team
