Job summary

Whitbread PLC is hiring a Hotel Duty Manager for Premier Inn in Southend-on-Sea. You’ll lead on the floor, coordinate reception, housekeeping and restaurant tasks, and ensure guests have a smooth, enjoyable stay.

We’re seeking a proactive leader who stays calm under pressure, coaches colleagues, and takes ownership to keep the hotel running efficiently during busy periods. Permanent, full-time roles with guaranteed hours are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts across the hotel and deliver clear pre-shift briefings
• Support and coach team members throughout the day
• Help guests with questions and sort out problems
• Jump in to support different teams, from reception to the restaurant
• Spot issues early and put them right
• Help keep guests safe and the hotel running the way it should
• Work closely with the Hotel Manager and wider leadership team
