Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking an Operations Assistant to help run our campus sports facilities, including front-of-house tasks and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff and the community.

You will support the sports programme, assist with bookings and memberships, and handle enquiries by face-to-face, email or telephone, while helping to maintain cleanliness and security across facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and display effective communication and time management skills.
• Experience of working within a sports environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of campus sports facilities and reception, lifeguarding (if qualified), security, cleanliness and safety of customers.
• Help implement the sports programme to meet the needs of students, staff and external users.
• Advise customers on bookings, memberships, prices and directions; monitor entrants and prevent inappropriate or illegal use.
• Support with enquiries related to the facilities including bookings, memberships and directions.
