Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking an Operations Assistant to support the delivery of our sports facilities across front of house and within the sport venues to ensure a high-quality, safe environment for students, athletes and the community.

You will work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate effective communication and time management, and use Microsoft Office tools to help run the facilities efficiently. Prior experience in a sports environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for facility management.
• Previous work experience in a sports environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with campus sports facilities operations, including front of house/reception, security, cleanliness, and safety procedures.
• Support implementation of the sports programme to meet the needs of students, staff and external users.
• Advise customers on bookings and check unauthorised entrants to prevent misuse of facilities.
• Handle enquiries related to bookings, memberships, prices and directions to facilities.
