Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver for the Talbot Green store. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves delivering groceries in a refrigerated van, while providing excellent customer service at the doorstep.

You will drive safely, perform basic vehicle checks, and may assist in-store duties. A full UK driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK, and a 12-month clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old with UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months and no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to learn and use delivery technology and routes.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and loading/unloading up to 15 kg.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers on time and in good condition.
• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at the doorstep with friendly, helpful service.
• Complete vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and security of shopping.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely across varied locations and conditions.
• Assist in-store when not on deliveries as needed.
• Communicate delays or changes to customers and handle queries.
