Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for the Blackpole Store in Worcester. You will drive a refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers’ doors with care and accuracy, while upholding safety standards and high service levels.

The role requires delivering within planned routes, communicating proactively with customers, and sometimes assisting in-store tasks. Prior driving experience and a valid UK license are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Online driving risk assessment required as part of interview; driving assessment on joining
• Right to Work in the UK
• Sainsbury’s uses in-cab AI cameras to monitor safety and compliance

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries using a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure on-time deliveries
• Check van roadworthiness, cleanliness and secure loading before departure
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied traffic and weather conditions
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties with steps, lifts or longer walks
• Communicate with customers about delays and order changes
• When not delivering, assist in-store as needed
