Job summary

Sainsbury's Ipswich is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doorsteps with a friendly, reliable approach. You will operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks, and ensure orders arrive on time in good condition.

We offer part-time hours under a fixed-term assignment with a closing date for this role. The role supports flexible working patterns and requires a valid UK driving licence, 18+ and right-to-work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep you deliver to, making customers feel valued with a thoughtful, friendly service
• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers on time and in great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and organised, and that customers' shopping is secure before setting off
• Following planned routes and driving safely in various locations, traffic, weather and road conditions
• Moving containers weighing up to 15kg and delivering shopping to properties with steps, lifts or longer walks from the van
• Communicating effectively with customers and keeping them informed of delays or changes to orders
• When not out delivering, assisting across the store as needed
