Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting for a Freight Safety & Securing Operative to work on-site at the Eurotunnel terminal. You’ll ensure vehicles are securely boarded and passengers are supported from arrival to departure, with shifts across a 24/7 period.

The role prioritises safety, customer interaction, and teamwork in a dynamic, high-traffic environment. Experience in logistics or customer service is preferred, with a full UK driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Securing: Apply and remove wheel chocks to HGVs boarding the shuttle.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-journey checks on freight vehicles and trains.
• Customer Support: Greet drivers and passengers, provide clear instructions, and assist with their journey.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in a safety-critical, high-traffic setting.
• On-site Driving: Operate company vehicles within the terminal (as required).
