Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is recruiting for a Freight Operations Specialist (4on4off) in Redditch, Worcestershire, to join a SME freight forwarder with growth ambitions.

The role covers pricing, bookings, and documentation across air, sea and road freight, with a hybrid work pattern and 4on4off shifts. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in freight forwarding and knowledge of INCOTerms.

Qualifications

• 2+ year's experience in freight forwarding, transport planning
• Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across air, sea or road freight forwarding
• Desirable experience of customs compliance (not essential)
• Excellent customer service experience
• Knowledge of INCOTerms is advantageous
• Commutable to Redditch, Worcestershire
• Ability to a work a 4on4off shift pattern on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage the pricing, quoting, booking and file monitoring of freight across import & export across air, sea & road freight.
• Manage air, sea & ocean freight import and export bookings including pricing, quotations, end-to-end shipping and customs documentations.
• Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients with a knowledge of the clients business requirements
• Informing customers are about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods.
• Handling customs entries (EUR1's / ATR1's) and arranging billings for VAT/Duties
• Documents of Operations and transportation (booking, airway bills and loading confirmation)
• Nominating carriers, airlines and GSA in-line with rates, OTIF value and customer requirements in line with a variety of INCOTerms.
