Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is seeking a Freight Operations Manager for the Manchester office on a hybrid basis. You will lead a team of eight freight forwarders across road, air and sea, and report to the Freight Director daily.

You will oversee pricing and quotations, arrange transport via third parties, ensure compliance with IMDG/IATA, and handle customs entries and VAT/duties. The role requires 4+ years in freight forwarding, leadership experience, and a strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in freight forwarding (sea/air preferred).
• Proven leadership experience managing freight teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of freight forwarders across road, air and sea.
• Oversee pricing and customer quotations including freight prices, port charges, and documents.
• Organise transport through third-party carriers (air/sea/road).
• Ensure IMDG/IATA compliance and load regulations.
• Handle customs entries and VAT/Duties billing; conduct customs clearance.
