Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is recruiting a Freight Operations Manager for a Manchester-based role on a hybrid basis. You will lead a small team of eight freight forwarders across road, air and sea, and manage pricing, quotes and customer deliveries in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in freight forwarding, leadership experience, and a solid understanding of INCOTerms. Hybrid work in Manchester and clear progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of freight forwarding experience across modes (road/air/sea).
• Proven people leadership and team management skills.
• Experience pricing, quoting and planning customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of freight forwarders (8) across road, air and sea.
• Oversee pricing, quotes, and customer quotations, including charges and documents.
• Organise transport through third party carriers and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle customs entries and arrange VAT/Duties billing.
• Ensure, book and conduct customs clearance.
