Job summary

Green & Wolvin Recruitment is seeking a proactive Shipping Manager for our Nottinghamshire operations. You will oversee inbound/outbound logistics, manage a small international team, and ensure OTIF delivery across ocean, air and road freight with compliant documentation.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, optimise carrier performance, and monitor KPIs while aligning with incoterms and HMRC guidance in the UK. Hybrid role in Nottingham.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Shipping and International Logistics.
• Experience in Shipping, Freight, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Buying is advantageous.
• Experience coordinating multi-modal shipping and partners (air, sea, road).
• Understanding of INCOTerms and UK customs/ VAT considerations is beneficial.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, shipping arrangements, hauliers and carrier relationships.
• Lead a small international shipping team across ocean, air and road freight.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of goods with compliant export/import documentation.
• Negotiate shipping rates and monitor carrier performance.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders on freight prices, port charges and duties.
• Maintain OTIF deliveries and monitor KPIs with process improvements.
