Job summary

Mountain Healthcare Limited is seeking a GMC-registered Doctor to join our Sexual Offences examination service in Penrith. The role covers paediatric and adult sexual assault care with travel to training and clinical placements.

A strong emphasis on safeguarding, confidentiality, and quality improvement is essential. The post involves supervision, mentorship, and a blended learning approach, with eligibility for full membership of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered Doctor
• 3+ years post Foundation experience
• Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults
• Knowledge of confidentiality
• Experience in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gyn
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required (UK residency 3 years)
• Medical Indemnity by start date

Responsibilities

• Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits
• Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines
• Work in partnership with external MDTs and Police
• Act as point of contact for Police and Social Services on referral pathways
• Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, safeguarding
• Support ongoing quality improvement of the service
• Work under Forensic Science Regulator requirements
• Obtain consent for Health and Forensic procedures
