Job summary
Mountain Healthcare in the UK is seeking a GMC-registered Doctor to join our Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) team. The role covers paediatric and adult services, requires a minimum of 3 years post Foundation experience, and involves safeguarding, confidentiality, and collaboration with Police, Social Services, and MDTs.
Travel for training is a requirement. The post offers mentorship, research and teaching opportunities, and support with medical indemnity.
Qualifications
- GMC-registered Doctor with full practising rights in the UK.
- Minimum of 3 years+ relevant post Foundation experience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
- Experience in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gynae.
- UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required; 3 years UK residency.
Responsibilities
- Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
- Develop forensic strategies per FFLM guidelines.
- Collaborate with external MDTs and Police.
- Be the main contact for Police and Social Services on referrals.
- Undertake holistic assessments (sexual health, mental health, safeguarding).
- Support ongoing quality improvement of the service.
- Work under Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
- Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.
