Job summary
Mountain Healthcare Limited is seeking a GMC-registered Doctor to join its Sexual Offence Examiner team at Penrith SARCs. The role covers paediatric and adult services, with 24 hours per week and shifts Monday to Thursday 9am-3pm, travel may be required.
The post offers education funding up to full Membership of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine in Sexual Offence Medicine. You will undertake forensic examinations, work with MDTs and police, and support safeguarding and mental health
Qualifications
- GMC-registered doctor with UK registration.
- Minimum 3 years plus relevant post Foundation experience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
- Knowledge of confidentiality and patient information handling.
- Experience in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gynae.
- UK driving licence and vehicle access.
- Advanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting; 3 years UK residency.
- Medical indemnity by start date.
Responsibilities
- Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
- Develop forensic strategies per FFLM guidelines.
- Collaborate with external MDTs and Police.
- Be a point of contact for referral pathways with Police/Social Services.
- Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health and safeguarding.
- Support quality improvement and comply with regulations.
