Teacher of Food Technology – Enfield, North London

Prospero Teaching is working with an Ofsted rated Good secondary school that is looking to recruit a NQT or experienced Teacher of Food Technology. The ideal candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons as part of a successful Design & Technology faculty.

This position starts January 2026 (or sooner) and is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
  • Teach GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition.
  • Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to a well‑structured Design & Technology department.
  • Utilise fully equipped food technology rooms and departmental support.
Qualifications & Experience
  • QTS or equivalent.
  • PGCE / SCITT / Teach First trained.
  • Food Technology or related Design & Technology degree.
  • Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Contract Details
  • Location: North London Enfield.
  • Position: Teacher of Food Technology (KS3 / KS4).
  • Contract type: Temporary or Permanent.
  • Full time.
  • Contract start date: January 2026 (or sooner).
  • Hours: 08:00‑15:30 or 16:00, plus parent evenings.
