Job summary

Hastings Hotels in Northern Ireland is seeking a reliable Food & Beverage Team member to deliver excellent guest service across breakfast, lunch, dinner and events. You will help maintain clean service areas and contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Full training provided; prior experience helpful but not required. Expect to work varied shifts with opportunities for career progression and staff perks such as staff meals and discounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests ensuring high standard of service.
• Clear and set tables, take orders, serve, and take payments.
• Ensure cash, charges, floats and till procedures are correct.
• Greet guests and respond to queries politely and efficiently.
• Maintain security of stock areas and report breaches.
• Be proactive in selling hotel offerings to guests.
• Work with colleagues to maintain a respectful, harmonious environment.
• Comply with health, safety and hygiene policies.

About The Role

To be responsible for serving food & beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests. To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.

• To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include, clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages and taking payments.
• To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly
• Greeting guests and responding to their queries
• To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately
• To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
• To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
• To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as required by management.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training.

Required Criteria

• Good Command of English Language
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills
• Must have a professional appearance
