Hastings Hotels’ Europa Hotel in Belfast is seeking a reliable Bar Tender to join the Food & Beverage Team. You will ensure the presentation of the bar and provide beverages and snacks with the highest standard of guest service.

The role is full-time, 35 hours per week across five shifts, including weekends; shifts typically run 10:00–18:00, 12:00–20:00, 17:00–01:00 and 18:00–02:00. Salary is £24,570 per annum, with benefits such as free staff meals, employee discounts, tips with a shared

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends. Shifts are typically 10am to 6pm, 12pm to 8pm, 5pm to 1am and 6pm to 2am

The salary for this full-time position is £24,570 per annum.

About the role

To be responsible for the presentation of the bar and the service of beverages and snacks for greatest enjoyment of our guests. To maintain the cleanliness of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.

• To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include, bar stocks, preparing and serving beverages, taking orders and payments.

• Greeting guests and responding to their queries

• To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly

• To use equipment and bar pumps efficiently, to maintain proper measures and ensure minimum wastage.

• To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.

• To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.

• To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.

• To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

• To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

• Any other duties as required by management.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Managers will provide you with full training.
