Responsibilities in your new role as Food and Beverage Outlet Manager

As manager, you’ll allocate workloads effectively among yourself and your team, respond to guest needs during operational hours, and work proactively with your team on changes in operations, policy and procedures. You will lead by example, setting a positive tone, rewarding strong performance, and managing under‑performance where necessary. Oversight of overtime, lieu time and holidays within budget is key.

You’ll also drive creative methods to improve customer service, continuously review internal operations within your department (and suggest improvements in others), and generate new ideas for service and product offerings to keep us ahead of the competition. You will uphold all bar standards, ensuring quality presentation, service and products meet local health and sanitation regulations. You’ll promote the proper and safe use of all equipment and remain fully knowledgeable on the menu.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You’re a natural leader who can train, motivate and mentor your team to achieve great results. You’re calm under pressure and skilled at engaging with guests, superiors and sub-ordinates in intense situations with composure. You have strong computer skills and can clearly define productivity standards, both quality and methods, needed to meet them.

An Intermediate or Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, as is Personal Licence Holder status. You will have previous experience working in a luxury hotel environment at Head Waiter or Assistant Outlet Manager level (or above), and the ability to analyse financial information, prepare budgets and monitor/control payroll and other costs in a similar role is preferred.
