Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member for Elstree View Care Home in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You will support dining services, help residents with meals, and maintain a clean, welcoming front-of-house environment.

The role requires caring, respectful values, with potential benefits from a Food Hygiene Certificate and prior experience in a care setting or hospitality. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support dining service and assist residents with meals.
• Assist residents in choosing meal options during dining.
• Set dining tables in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and well-presented; clear and replenish crockery throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are available in the bistro areas and replenish finger foods and fresh fruit.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals .

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
