Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Cobham is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member to support dining services at Silvermere Care Home. You will help residents with meals and ensure tables stay clean and well-presented.

The role requires compassion, good personal hygiene, and an understanding of dietary needs; a basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be advantageous. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing meal options during dining.
• Ensure dining tables are set per SOPs and maintained throughout service.
• Keep front of house areas clean, tidy, and well-presented; clear dirty crockery and replenish as needed.
• Provide access to fresh homemade cakes, biscuits, finger foods, and fresh fruit; accommodate dietary requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member will be to support with the dining service and assisting residents with their meals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options at the time of dining.
• Ensuring that dining tables are set in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keeping front of house clean, tidy and well-presented, and that dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensuring fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas are replenished throughout the day as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
