Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage Team Member to join the Bank team at Virginia Water Care Home in Surrey. You will support dining services, helping residents choose meals and ensuring a calm, clean dining area while adhering to dietary requirements.

Experience in hospitality or care settings is valued; basic Food Hygiene certification is beneficial. DBS check will be required and funded by Avery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Experience in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of culinary services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.
• Assist residents with choosing meal options.
• Set dining tables according to SOPs.
• Keep front of house clean, tidy and presentable; replenish as needed.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are available in the Bistro and replenished, plus finger food and fresh fruit options.
• Be aware of residents' dietary requirements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.

• Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining.


• Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables.


• Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.


• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options.


• Being aware of resident’s dietary requirements.
