Job summary

OurHouse Group is seeking a friendly Floor Team Member to warmly welcome families and maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

You'll take orders, deliver food and drinks accurately, and keep menus up-to-date with allergen information. A calm, team‑oriented approach helps ensure every guest feels looked after throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Experience in front-of-house or hospitality is helpful but not essential.
• Able to greet and assist families with warmth and calm under busy periods.
• Good knowledge of menu items and allergens, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and families with warmth and ensure a positive first impression.
• Take orders accurately and deliver food and drinks to high standards.
• Maintain menu knowledge and advise guests on ingredients and allergens.
• Support floor setup and close-down, while upholding hygiene and safety standards.
• Handle member queries with care and escalate when needed.

As a Floor Team Member at OurHouse, you'll be one of the first faces our members and their families see — setting the tone with a warm welcome, a calm presence, and the kind of attention to detail that makes every visit feel effortless. You'll work closely with the floor team and Supervisor to keep service flowing and standards high, all while helping every family feel genuinely looked after.

What You'll Do

• Welcome members and their families with warmth, and build familiarity with regulars — remembering names, preferences, and the little details
• Anticipate needs before they're asked — a refill, a high chair, a moment of attention for a child
• Take orders confidently and deliver food and drinks accurately, following OurHouse service standards
• Maintain strong menu knowledge, including ingredients and allergens, to guide and advise members
• Support set-up and close-down of the floor, and handle member queries with care, escalating where needed
• Uphold high standards of presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout every shift
• Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

• A natural warmth with people — comfortable with everyone from toddlers to grandparents
• Great attention to detail and a calm, adaptable approach when things get busy
• A genuine team player who looks out for colleagues as much as members
• Previous front‑of‑house or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential — we hire for personality and teach the skills
• Awareness of food allergens and basic food hygiene, or willingness to complete training before starting
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
