WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to deliver flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and sustainable drainage solutions as part of our Sustainable Water Management team.

You will collaborate with Local Authority flood management teams on investigations, strategies, and planning support, mentoring junior colleagues and coordinating multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure high-quality client deliverables.

Qualifikationen

• A degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
• Some exposure or interest in local authority flood risk services such as Sustainable Drainage, Flood Risk Management Plans or planning support.
• Interest in delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support planning applications.
• Familiarity with the Flood Risk Management Act, National Planning Framework 4, SEPA guidance and local authority policies.

• Support the delivery of good-quality technical deliverables to clients.
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, overseeing small project teams.
• Managing and directing projects effectively, balancing programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Contributing to opportunities to secure projects and extensions to existing projects.
• Be multi-disciplinary and client-facing, co-ordinating project meetings both internally and externally.
• Demonstrating positive H&S behaviours and championing this amongst the wider team.
