Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join our Sustainable Water Management team. You will deliver flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects for Local Authority clients.

The role combines technical delivery with mentorship of junior colleagues and active involvement in securing new work. You will apply knowledge of UK policy and legislation, contribute to planning support, and ensure high-quality

Qualifications

Experience delivering local authority flood risk services such as Sustainable Drainage Systems and Flood Risk Management Plans.
Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support planning.
Understanding budgets and leading delivery of projects and outputs related to flood risk management.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality technical deliverables to clients, often as reviewer/approver.
Mentor junior colleagues; oversee small project teams; manage budgets, schedules and quality.
Contribute to opportunities to secure projects and extensions.
Coordinate multidisciplinary, client-facing project meetings.
Promote health and safety across the team.
