Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to deliver FCA/FRA work and support sustainable drainage strategies. You will collaborate across the Sustainable Water Management team on complex projects spanning the UK, including Wales and England, with a focus on planning and permitting for major infrastructure.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, provide technical inputs for EIA and SAB submissions, and guide junior colleagues while contributing to business

Qualifications

• Flood risk assessments for England and Wales, with modelling or EIA input.
• Knowledge of drainage strategy development and SAB submissions in Wales.
• Experience in drainage design using industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise FCAs/FRAs for schemes.
• Provide input into drainage strategies and design for complex schemes.
• Prepare feasibility studies and drawings.
• Deliver SAB submissions with local authorities.
• Deliver Section 19 Flood Investigations.
• Mentor junior consultants and ensure output quality.
• Support tendering and business development activities.
• Lead project management tasks including budget and schedule.
