Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Consultant with experience in delivering flood risk assessment projects to join our Sustainable Water Management team.

You will work on technically complex projects for a range of clients, including major infrastructure initiatives across the UK and overseas. You will collaborate with the national team, mentor junior staff, and contribute to flood modelling, Water EIA, and permitting work while developing your skills across related water

Qualifications

• Experience of Flood Risk Assessment preparation, and experience in flood risk modelling, strategy development, drainage design or Water EIA.
• Experience providing technical inputs for planning and permitting for major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of the regulatory context for flood risk planning in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out flood risk assessments and preparing deliverables.
• Supporting projects and developing skills in areas such as sustainable drainage design, planning application reviews, Local Flood Risk Management Strategies, permitting applications, and environmental assessments.
• Carrying out site surveys to collect baseline information and support Section 19 investigations.
• Taking leadership of certain project management activities including financial and programme management.
