Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible postal delivery drivers (temporary). You will deliver letters and parcels in your community, often walking part of your route and driving a Royal Mail van.

Key requirements include a full manual UK driving licence, the ability to walk long distances (up to 20,000 steps/day) with bags up to 16kg, and flexibility to work varying shifts. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.
• Drive your delivery route, sometimes on foot, and ensure every item reaches its destination safely.
