Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll deliver letters and parcels, split between driving and walking, across your delivery area with a strong focus on community service and reliability.

Role requires a full UK driving licence, ability to walk long distances and lift up to 16kg, plus flexible shifts. Training and driving assessments are part of onboarding, with competitive pay rates and shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you need to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your route, driving a Royal Mail van where required.
• Complete parts of your route on foot and provide exceptional service in all weathers.
• Deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
